Manu Tukutuku

As part of our Matariki celebrations we made Manu (Maori kites). Our aim to make them like the ones we read about and with no Sellotape!! Although the stapler did come out. All resources came from our environment. Unfortunately technology failed us and both the iPod's and Miss Brown's phone's batteries died at final creation pics- check out our movie coming soon- it will be uploaded in our learning journal folder above and our Matariki page in literacy.

Another Lorax podcast

The lions and elephants created their own podcast of the story - Lorax in our own words!!! Check it out on our Lorax media gallery on our front page!!

A very productive laptop session

The sea turtles independently used the laptops to share this weeks's learning about coconuts and bananas. They all chose to use keynote to present their learning.

The leopards used google to answer our questions about apples and feijoas. They are presenting their learning using printshop.

A very productive laptop session

The Rhinos had the choice to use either keynote or podcast to present their poems of the week.

Snow day number 2

Hope everyone is warm and safe- not finding the ice patches!!
The Onceler made a sneaky visit to my house or perhaps it was the Lorax who found the conditions too cold!! My hedge is uprooted :(

Snow flakes swiftly drop from the snow clouds,
Rushing to meet their friends,
Where they hold on tightly,
Obviously weighing a tonne!!!
My poor hedge :(

Have fun in the snow and keep away from the ice, room 12!!!!!
